"The narrator travels through a forest of lightning-burnt tree remains to retrieve a blackened kartika flaying knife from it's hidden altar. He then uses it to flay/scourge his mortal body, and then deeper to cut out and annihilate his soul; ultimately purifying his primal essence ready to transcend this plane of reality. As he feels himself finally dissolving into the void, he welcomes his end."

lyrics
'Transcendent Excoriation Rites'
Mystification swells
In undulating crests
Pharisiacal observations
Censure the hierogram
Six twisted sigils
Resonate opprobrium
Like mephitic rowan boughs
Dian Mu annointed
A journey of convalescence
Through esoteric groves
To seize the ashen blade
For annexation of self
Rent flesh, a tattered chi
Evulse the umbra of soul
Supernal obliteration
Of soma, pneuma and cognition
I welcome the dissolution
A panoptic holocaust
In rituals surmounting Chöd
An ecstasy of torture

The dissonant bleakness of the first track is less weird and more hypnotic than on the second track. That's why I like it a little more. But both songs together make for an extraordinary experience and a journey to the arhythmically beating heart of darkness. mourner

Jordan Vauvert

This is what you get buying the label's discography, you don't know what treasures you get :) Love Lunatii for their Diskonformism of 2020 for its pure unadulterated madness, this here is no worse (differently though, which is for good). YomaBarr
